Default I Want My Spouse's Mistress to Pay

There is a woman claiming that she got gifts from my spouse. She gives me hard time and bothering me. I would like to request her to return gifts voluntary by official form or letter from possibly law agency. Where can I get such letter for minimal fee in WA?

You can't. The law is not going to force her to return the gifts, voluntarily or at all.

Consult an attorney. For a small fee, I am sure he will draft a letter to the mistress. But, the law may not apply to your situation. It may depend on the nature of the gifts and the source.

The case you refer to is a single, isolated matter so far, and not yet a boon for divorce attorneys.

Are you seriously thinking about spending thousands of dollars to file a lawsuit to retrieve gifts that your husband voluntarily gave to someone? Unless he gave items that personally belonged to you, what on earth are you hoping to gain from this? Do you think its going to save your marriage? Maybe the money would be better spent on a marriage counselor to find out why he had someone on the side to give gifts to.

I do not think that there was affair, no evidence presented. The problem is she is calling our friend, family and talked to our pastor claiming that she got gift from him and that he did not just help her out but it was a lot more than that. She has issues and asked for money to start new life. I am tired of her messages and suggestions. If she claims she got gifts I want it back and take a vacation to recover my stress.

where do I find an attorney that has a small fee?

too much stress, I need to resolve this issue. Have a feeling that she was just hopping to get some money and found a convenient person.

    No, seriously, you're not listening.

Your husband is still alive. And though that old WA law helped one person, I sincerely doubt it's going to help you.

If you're that stressed, get some counseling. It does sound like you both need it.

If you really want to waste time and money (because there's no guarantee you'll ever collect), by all means start going through the phone book. If an attorney will do it pro bono or low cost, good luck.

You can also call the WA Bar Association for a referral.
