You've lived there long enough to be considered a legal tenant. In order to "kick you out", they'd actually have to go through the legal eviction process. This is also something you need to discuss with the attorney.

And yes - you're going to be asked, how can you afford an attorney if you have no income? More to the point - and now I'm curious - he's been gone since last August? What have you been living on?

My family member has paid for tmy attorney fees and I have been living with his parents and his mom was buying the things I needed but we went to court for child support so I was waiting for the child support.

Picky about what? Certainly not your life or your choice in spouses.... you've been living with his mommy and daddy and letting them pay your way through life for heaven's sake. You're not that picky, so let's get over that.

Now, how long have you been unemployed? How much does your STBX make? Has this attorney made any projections on how much child support you can expect? Has he been giving you any money as of yet to support the kids?

I have not had a job since may of 09. What is STBX? when we went to court back in march for child support I would be gettin 480. No my husband has not gave me no money to support the kids.

Im thinking that since I have no job that I cant fight this battle.

STBX = soon to be ex. In other words, your husband.

You need to speak to that attorney because I don't think you're actually grasping what is being said to you.
