My question involves a roommate in the State of: MA
There are two residents under the lease for an apartment, and one of them informed me in writing of their intent to terminate their lease early. She kindly offered to pay for the unit until it is rerented, but I easily found a new tenant and signed a new lease with her. However, the other resident now refuses to vacate the unit arguing that she never gave a written consent. I may be sued by the new tenant and I could incur large legal fees. Could I sue the tenants for the legal fees I may incur?
