My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of:
California
I've a question regarding UI and California training benefits. Yesterday I went to an Edd one stop office to register and express my interest in CTB training before the 16th week deadline. A lady there helped me to send an email to edd to expressing that interest. Today I received a response that freaked me out a little. It read in part, "...Once you begin a school or training program please mairk "Yes" to question 5 on the continued claim form. Edd will schedule you to an eligibility interview by telephone to determine your eligibility for ctb. Edd cannot interview you until such time you are actually attending or enrolled in the school or training program.

Here's the part that freaked me out, "...You requested the dept. to flag your claim because you intend to enroll in school/training in the near future. A notation has been added to your claim record today.

My question is this, will my checks now stop because of this "flag" or notation?

I've read nothing but horror stories regarding people attempting to use ctb and going without checks for weeks waiting for phone interviews or because of some mistake edd makes.
