    Default Return Fraud

I returned some items to Nordstrom about a year ago that did not really belong to nordstrom. To be specific, they were diesel jeans. I returned the exact same cut and style of diesel jeans but in a different wash. I feel pretty bad. It's kinda been haunting me. Nothing has really happened to me but could they ever figure this out and charge me with return fraud? Should I go in and make this right with the store? Thanks for your help

It all depends on you. If you seriously regret doing it, I advise going back to correct it the best way you can. They may look at you "What is he/she talking about?" But it will still take a lot off your chest. It might make you feel better to make a lot of purchases there throughout the rest of the year too.

If you go and correct it by talking to the manager I bet he will not press any charges if you mentioned it was a mistake and would like to applogize. Remember to try and do that quick incase they notice you from before and try to arrest you. Maybe it is best to call and speak to the manager first.

You are really lucky you did not get arrested for retail fraud. If someone was paying more attention I bet you would be contacting "Expertlaw" on how to retain a lawyer.

    I hope you the best.

You won't be charged with anything, Nordstrom's has no proof and your guilty conscience is not enough to convince them to. You've probably done more damage to yourself than it's worth, don't do it again....say two Hail Mary's and move on.

I totally agree with Paul. If you do feel the need to tell the manager, by all means, don't say it was a "mistake"...he'll know better. (But, you still aren't going to get into any trouble). "Now go...and sin no more!"
