    Default Unemployment After Temp Job

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: AZ

I am currently on unemployment. I was laid off due lack of work from my last employer. Been on unemployment for about 3 months. I had an interview yesterday. This is my question. If I am offered this position, I am inclined to take it even though #1. the hours will be difficult to maintain. #2 I may be called back to my previous employer. If I do quit new job and go back to old employer...and then I am laid off again, will there be any issues with me collecting UI again? I don't see any reason for the old employer to dispute it....please let me know if I was not clear enough!

I'm not seeing any reason you couldn't re-open your claim if necessary.

Even if I do return to my old employer and even if I only work temporarily for that employer?

I'm no expert, but if you leave a full-time job (or equivalent) to take another full-time job (or equivalent) and then get laid off later on, it shouldn't be a problem unless you were fired for misconduct or quit. You won't be able to start a new claim until the old one expires. But, it might be a problem if you are leaving a permanent job and knowingly take a temporary job. I can't say for sure, though.

In this situation, the OP was originally laid off from Company A, with the possible option of recall, she didn't voluntarily leave Company A. She worked for Company B as a temporary employee in the interim. As long as you don't quit, you should be fine.

Ok let me clarify again, Co. A laid me off. I may take a job with Co. B even though I will not be able to maintain the hours for very long. So, if I do quit and later go back to Co.A, even if it's temporary, say even a week or two, then get laid off again from Co. A, can I re-open my unemployment claim, or file a new claim? Will that be grounds for even being eligible? I know it's confusing, but I am just trying to weigh out all my options, before making a decision. Or I do nothing and stay on unemployment until it runs out....
