My question involves child support in the State of: FL
What happens when there is a notice of collection showing on a court docket?
From what I was reading, it indicates the court's intention to collect unpaid debt which in this case is child support. I'm not an expert but that's what I was able find out from a bit of google research.
Thank you for your help!
New twist here. So in March there was a credit showing on the CSE website - it was a lot of money so my guess is it was a tax refund. Not too long after, a Notice of collection appears on the court docket that matches that amount and date. There are no updates to the court docket, and today the CSE website now shows that amount has disappeared, and arrears are back where they were before. The other day CSE confirmed it was a tax refund. What happened here?
Was it a joint return? Could the other party have filed injured spouse status?
What did CSE say when you asked them wth was going on?
I don't have access to the return, but it could be a joint return where there is an injured spouse claim. The CSE said it was taken off the books because its being "adjusted" and to check back in a few weeks.
