    Default Never Interviewed for Position, Somebody Else Was Hired

    hi my name is mohamed im originally from morocco,im a us citizen right now,my situation is,i work in a big hotel company in boston as a waiter.im a hard working guy with 12 years of experience including management.in the last 3 weeks we had no manager in our restaurant,well i took a chance and i approached my GM about the position.then he ask me to give him my resume,and he told me that he s gonna set an interview for me.what happened is when i came to work on Thursday April 21 first,i was surprised that i met i new woman manager,after a spook to here,she informed me that my GM told here she has to wait till he give my interview on monday the 18,i met him on the day before, that was on sunday he came to visit,but he never told me that i have an interview.he never give me a fair chair for the position,even the HR know that im gonna have an interview for the position,and by chance our president of the company was dining in our restaurant and i was his waiter,i decided to tell him my situation,he was very sad about the matter.and he told me to email him my resume and to speak with the HR department as soon as possible,and today i got an email from him it says,Mohamed

    I am glad you told me about your experience and thank you for sending me your resume. I understand that you have spoken with Lisa on the situation we discussed and I will defer to her to address your concerns.



    It's good to know that you have interest in advancing within our Company.

    so do i have a discrimination case against my GM,thank u in advance

    Not based on what you have posted. It doesn't sound like discrimination; it sounds like a breakdown in communications.

    he hired here and told her that he has to interview me and give me a fair chair but nevere happen ,so no matter what i say to him she is hired allready

    There is no requirement under the law that you be interviewed. I'm still not seeing any discrimination.

    but why he lied that he s interviewing me on monday

    even the HR know that he is gona interview me on monday but never happened

    If you want to know why someone did something, you have to ask THEM why they did it. If you press the issue much further, you may find yourself without a job completely, not just without the one you wanted - and that would be legal too. It's completely legal to fire someone for being a pain in the behind.

    So be quiet about it and get over it. Another job till come.

    even the president of the company knows that my GM is wrong and lied
