My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Jersey
I was arrested for trespassing onto the property of a factory that had been abandoned for a littler over 10 years. The owner still has the land to his name but it is obvious to see that he has no intention of doing anything with it. I understand that the affirmative defense to this charge was that the structure or research facility was abandoned and the legal owner has vacated it with no intention of returning it to a working state. What will happen in court in terms of fines of etc?
