My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Georgia.
My fiance and I recently took a motorcycle class in order to receive our motorcycle licenses in the state of Georgia. When we went in to get the motorcycle class added to our license's, he was informed that his license was suspended in 2004 for an unpaid speeding ticket.
However, he has had the following activity on his license since 2004
In 2005 he got his CDL
In 2007 he began working for a company that verifies license status before hiring
In 2008 he renewed his license
He says he never got a speeding ticket in 2004. I am curious if it's possible someone somewhere has misentered the license number into the system? It seems strange to me that he was allowed to do all those things with his license, but only now, seven years after the fact, are they telling him that he has a suspended license??
He plans on going to the courthouse tomorrow to ask about it, but I want to give him the right questions to ask them.
Thank you in advance for any help.
