My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Georgia
I was terminated recently for failing a drug screen for a prescription med I took while ill that belonged to me. I was accused by another employee after a disagreement we had earlier that night. I could not convince my employer that I was taking them at home and not at work. I have been honest with prospective employers about the incident, but have not been able to get a job although my previous work practices have been spotless.
My question is...Will the termination report from DHHR show up on background checks for future employment?
I'm very upset about this and would appreciate any advice you can give.
