My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Pennsylvania
I was fired today for something I did 3 months ago...Im 6 months pregnant.
In jan I was severely behind on invoicing...I was asked why I told him the I had too many responsibility and it slipped away from me...I fixed it with in a month and had been told that my job was safe as recently as last week."
In March I was demoted from Operation Manager to Office Manager when he hired a new woman(New operation manager) to help the business and since I was going away on maternity leave. The first day the woman was hired she told me that she would never hire a woman w young children.
I was fired with in a week from this woman ended her training. The reason I was given for being fired was the invoices, the company contact database we have been having problems, which is completely computer related I told him that wasnt my fault it was the computer error and he agreed, and then he said other "things" what the other things are I dont know.
When I was initial hired I was 6 month pregnant(sept 06) but I wasnt on the books like all his employees at the time and I was part time. I was a front desk employee the most simple job. I didnt get put on the books until July 07 by that time I was running the place with little training I basically winged it. He is never there.
I have been recently going to more dr appt because there is some concern with this pregnancy.
He also fired another pregnant woman recently too...Actually I fired her... I told her that her position wasnt there anymore which is what was told to me. She was suppose to be coming back from bed rest when I talked to her.
