Default Child Support for Adult Disabled Child with Trust Fund

My question involves child support in the State of: Pennsylvania

My step-daughter is 18 and is expected to graduate high school this June. She is severely disabled due to a car accident and is expected to be awarded a significant legal settlement which will fund a first party trust fund. (1) I am interested in knowing whether her father will still be obligated to pay child support after she graduates. (2) I am interested in knowing whether her father will still be obligated to pay child support once the legal settlement comes through and her trust fund is established (assuming this happens post-graduation).

If I am correct... For the state of PA child support stops at 18 or high school graduation what comes last.

PA allows for support to continue for adult children, per 23 Pa. Cons. Stat. 4321(3) in certain instances.

If your child is severely disabled, she is entitled to services through the high school until she turns 22 unless you accept graduation. Adult services are often a poor shadow of what they can access while still in high school. Do not let the school district force her out until she is 22.

That's actually a great point - thanks, PQN
