I talked to a lawyer yesterday, over the phone for free. He said to leave the section about debt and property on form "Verified Petition for Dissolution of Marriage" BLANK. He said this only regards to couples that have conflicts in issues.
As for the "Decree of Dissolution of Marriage and Settlement Agreement" form. He said the debts and property areas on this form need to show who gets what. He also said that attaching another piece of paper and reffering it on the form will help with listing items since it will provide more space.
I think I understand what needs to be filled in and what doesn't... but as for the agreement...
When we list bank accounts and loans do we need to be specific... For example...
Petitioner(me the husband) will have sole possesion of:
Checking Account #********* and Savings Account #********* at PNC 802 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN <--- would this be the correct way to show I get 100% of my checking and savings accounts?
Also, I would assume the house should be shown as the tax id# and lot # not the address?
Thanks,
Any help would he great!
