My question involves criminal law for the state of: ohio
recently my friend and I went to a local coffee shop. He paid for his beverage in cash, I paid with my credit card. On the way out, my friend decided on a whim to apprehend a small piece of furniture which he promptly exited with, and stashed in my car. Moments later I was walking out when I noticed the boyfriend of the barista who had served us, staring at both of us confused. While pulling calmly out I noticed the boyfriend making a phone call, obviously to the barista inside. There was no cameras, and no possibility of the boyfriend reading my license plate. Even though I did not steal anything (idiot friend!) I am concerned they will be able to get my information (address, number, etc.) via the credit card I used? How likely is this? The card is open source through a local bank.....any information would be greatly appreciated!
