My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Washington


How do I file a contempt of court motion, pro se, against the father and his parents? The parenting plan specifies that the father is to have SUPERVISED visititation, with his parents being the court appointed supervisors. The father's mother has admitted that she allows him to leave their home with my grandson without any supervision what-so-ever.

This is the grandparent in the case, which is why I asked if he/she had custody so she may not have a court order. If this person doesn't, then he/she cannot file for anything.

My daughter has custody, so allow me to rephrase the question to ask how SHE would go about filing for contempt of court.

The court order states that all visits are to be supervised in the paternal grandparents home, under their constant supervision.

The father leaves the house and the neighborhood for unknown lengths of time alone with my grandson.

The judge ordered visitations to be supervised due to the father's questionable behavior (anger management issues, drugs, theft, etc). The father has thus far refused to cooperate with the court ordered GAL investigation.

I'm adding this on to this existing thread, simply because the question remains unanswered. To clarify, my daughter no longer needs to file for contempt of court, as the court appointed GAL did that herself. However, I know another individual who does not have legal representation and needs to file a CoC against someone. They asked me if I know how they go about doing so. I simply do not know the correct hoops to jump through. The person in question feels lost, confused and overwhelmed by the process.

All I am asking is how does someone go about filing contempt of court without legal representation? What are the steps involved?
