Default Spouse Doesn't Want to Show Up for Marriage-Based Citizenship Interview

i been married since a little over 2 years we filed for my greencard and permanent residents a while ago but then we moved and so on thats why it took so long to finally have an interview apt. now on the 25th of april i already have my work permit wich is valid til november this year . and everytime i argue with my husband he tells me to leave and says mean stuff what he dont mean . And i hate to depend on him ! i would much rather have my greencard but still be with him but not depend on his moods and stuff you know .. so now we having a really bad argument again he tells me he wants me to leave and stuff so i am actually thinking about not bein gwith him nomore . but what would that mean for my greencard ? the interview is coming up... is it possible to get my greencard thru a workcontract ? even tho i already filed for the marriage based greencard ? please please help

While it's not impossible to be approved without your husband's presence, there is a great chance that your petition will be denied.

If he is refusing to go, you really need to speak with an attorney.

    Here's the problem.

He needs to be there to verify that your marriage is ongoing and real. If he's not there and you say that your marriage is in trouble, you'll likely be denied.

If you tell them that he has a new job, they'll ask why you didn't reschedule....because surely any decent employer would give an employee time off to deal with such a critical immigration matter.
