My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Idaho
My girlfriend rented a house to help friends that were moving out of state and paid way more than market value. Fine until we needed to move out of state also 4 months later. Gave notice..moved...now 4 months later friend/landlord is suing only me for more than 3 months of rent. My girlfriend made the deal...friend was aware I don't pay the rent..she does. She was late on rent the last month and he sent a 3 day notice 2 pay or get out...so we gave notice and moved. Does his notice or our need to move for job help with breaking the lease? And does her name not being on legal papers effect anything?
