    Default Obscure Divorce Statutes

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Pennsylvania

I've recently filed for divorce against my spouse of more than a decade, with an attorney, after trying to do it ourselves after a short time. Even though PA is a equitable distribution and no-fault state, he has become angry at my choices, and is now threatening to reveal something in court which he thinks will prove me unfit and have the court leaving me with nothing.

While this doesn't sound likely, I'll admit that he has me shaken, and wondering if there is something he knows that I do not. The only thing I can think is that he will try to prove the marriage invalid, or that he thinks something I've done in the past will be enough to prove me unfit.

Does anybody know of any obscure divorce statutes, or anything like that, which could be used again me? I've been told not to worry, that he's playing head games and trying to scare me, that I'd literally have to be a drug addicted prostitute to get nothing and have my children taken away, but I'm still worried.

The marriage is valid, even if it was not valid or was questionable at the time the marriage was enter into because of the duration of the marriage its validity has been accepted. A single incident, or even a serious past incident, will not be enough to prove that you are an unfit mother. The courts (in my experience) usually frown upon one party attacking the other when there is clear evidence to the contrary. Are you currently providing a reasonable home for the children? If the answer is yes, then you are okay. If your ex brings up something in an attempt to embarass you he will have to answer some tough questions...
This happened x years ago yet you remainded married and through your actions choose to forgive or overlook the incident, so why do you bring it up now?
If the mother is unfit then why have you allowed the conditions to be such for an extended amount of time?
