My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Alabama

The father of my son has been absent since birth. My son is now 13 months old and he is taking me to court for visitation. When he was ten months old he was ill and in the hospital so I needed the Biological Fathers medical history. I contacted him and he asked to see my son which I agreed to. He is not on the birth certificate and has never offered or paid any child support. After he saw him the first time he asked to see him twice more since which I agreed to. He started asking me to drop my child off at his house and I refused, my son does not know him and I told the Biological Father that he could come to my house and see our son anytime and when he got comfortable around him we would agree on him getting him by himself some. He disagreed partly because of his girlfriends wishes. I did not hear from him for 2 months and recently had papers delivered to me that says he is taking me to court.

I want to be awarded sole legal custody and him have a gradual visitation schedule in which my son would develop a relationship with him before I drop him off at a "strangers" house. My boyfriend was with my the entire time I was pregnant and has been who my son sees as his father, he has a drug charge, will this affect my custody? What should I expect and what are my chances of winning?
