My question involves court procedures for the state of: Colorado
I was recently involved in a hearing that was completely out of control and want to know if this behavior inside the courtroom is legal.
First of all the Plaintiff was called to the stand and when asked to give his testimony he got out of his chair and stated that he could not give the case evidence for his side as he could not read or write.
The Judge then allowed his wife to sit in his place and fight the entire battle.(The wife was not on the case at all but was a witness)
The case became personal as she started saying that I owed her the money and again she was not in the case!! The judge never batted an eye as she stated over and over "YOU OWE ME PERSONALLY" So I was really fighting a case that didn't even exist.
Secondly while on the stand the wife became so angry and refused to hand documents directly to me even stating I refuse to hand this to you and called her husband to the stand to transfer the paperwork to me.
Once it was my turn on the stand the wife sat in her chair and made faces at me and mumbled under her breath until I finally had to notify the judge that she was doing so.
I can't believe what went on in the courtroom.. Shouldn't the judge have done something?
