Question Nude Photos of Celebrity's Fiance

Not Sure where to ask this question so sorry if this is not the appropriate location. In a nut shell here is my situation.

I was engaged to be married to a girl after after being in a relationship for 5 years with her. Come to find out she was cheating on me and eventually left me to be with a famous celebrity whom I will not name. The two have recently decided to get married. My X's fiance makes over 20 million a year.

During the time we were together, I took several nude photos of my X in which she is smiling for the camera etc and still have them on my computer. I have never showed them to anyone or even told anyone I have them, I don't even think my X remembers that I have them.

I know this sounds like a scum bag move. But I was thinking of somehow offering them to my X's finance for a price. Is this legal if done in the right way? Not necessarily saying either buy them or they will be posted on the internet/ sold to poperatzi spelling? etc. But instead having a lawyer contact his lawyer or agent, with a pictures offering offer ownership of them to him at a price.

Again, I know many of you will think I am awful for considering this, but I have been caused a great deal of pain by my X, and I really would not mind a little financial payback from what she put me through.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated

How about being a grown up, deleting the photos, and moving on with life? If you allow her actions to drive you this way, you have not properly processed the break up. I'm not sure of the legality since you took the photos and not her but better safe than sorry.

Again, delete the photos and move on.

    P.S. Yes, it's a scumbag move.

If you think it's a scumbag move, then it probably is. Trust your instinct.

That said, there is nothing illegal about offering to sell something you own to another person.
Publishing them would likely violate her privacy and probably right to publicity and quite likely her fiance's right to publicity.
Then again, magazines like Playboy and Hustler sometimes publish things like this, once the person has become "newsworthy" and the privacy protections are less strict.

Think to yourself "why do I wan't to offer them to him?" If you think he'll want to suppress them, then it looks like a shakedown. If you want to get in his good graces it won't work. If you think he'll appreciate nudes of his fiancee, he can probably get those himself now.

p.s. don't delete them. You might like looking at them 20 years from now.

Thank you for your advice, The reason I would want to offer them to him strictly for me to benefit monetarily. (he has millions and basically stole my fiance, so no I don't feel bad about it) I would think he would be interested in them simply to assure his soon to be wife that there is no chance of nude photos of her showing up on the internet etc or being shown around by me or anyone else. I have no interest in being in his good graces etc. strictly would like to make a business transaction. I am not looking for millions of dollars, I figure it may be worth about 1 weeks paycheck for him or anyone to assure that no one has nude pictures of their spouse... for him that 1 weeks pay would be about 300k.

As you were told when you posted, laws vary by state. If you want to know the laws of your state, you must (belatedly) provide that information.

The way you are phrasing this makes it sound like a shakedown or blackmail, which could get you into legal trouble both civilly and criminally. You would definitely do well to be extremely careful in how you word your offer lest you get in hot water.

You need to look at this from another way.

You may be in the right from a legal standpoint to sell these photos. However, only a judge can determine that legality.

You would not be the first person to be bankrupted by a legal action. You win, but you really lose everything.

How likely is your ex to ask her new boyfriend to simply sue you into the ground. To ruin your reputation to your family, your boss and your neighbors by debating the act in the court of public opinion.... they depict themselves as the loving couple being blackmailed by a former lover with a camera and a penchant for cash.

How easy will it be to get a job ANYWHERE with that kind of reputation? How likely will it be for you to EVER get a woman to trust you enough to let you see her naked?

Think hard about this. You will definitely reap what you sow.
