My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: CA
My boss just threatened me if I make any clock in/out errors I'll get written up. But I've never made any errors before, but just a week after he told me I forgot to clock back in after my lunch. Now I am kind of worried.
On another note, there is a co-worker of mine who forgot to clock in and clock out for the whole day, and he didn't get written up at all.
I asked other departments in my organization and they said that their boss doesn't care, they just go in and make those corrections manually.
Can I really get written up if I forget to clock in or out? It seems a little harse to me.
