My question involves criminal law for the state of: WA
I have filed a Malicious Prosecution claim against my ex-domestic partner. I have an air tight case against her for the lies she told in the statements she made to the police that caused my arrest and 7mo in jail. I was held on three felony charges and facing 3yrs in prison. Despite my public defenders advise to take a plea, I took it trial and won hands down. My ex's attempt to destroy my life was because I was leaving her due to her drinking and excessive abuse. Her resentment was such that she went to great lengths to inflict as much damage as she could get away with and she was going to sit back and watch me go to prison knowing that I hadn't done anything that she had stated.
Here are the Q's
1) How do I go about getting these charges off of my record. Even though I was found not guilty they are showing up and hindering my qualifications for rentals and jobs searches.
2) I can prove without any doubt that she intentionally used the DV advocates, police, and the entire judicial system to seek her revenge. After my release I spoke with her last partner back east and found out that this is how that relationship ended as well. I also found out she shafted one of her bosses, in a previous job, using the company's HR services. He was fired and she received a handsome cash settlement.
A win on the civil suite will hold her accountable for what she's done to me and I would think at that point I should be able to have the charges expunged from my record (is this correct.?)
Q. However; What do I have to do and who do I have to talk to in order to have her charged and held accountable for illegally using the system and destroying 'at least' three peoples lives so far.
I feel I have a responsibility to follow this through to the end. Apparently I am the first to stand up to her and - She needs to be stopped. . .This is a very sick women who is enjoying the thrill of using the authorities and getting them to jump through her hoops while pulling the wool over their eyes. She especially gets off on the pain she causes her victims.
