You need to ask your employer for clarification. It's possible that they're referring to a need to get the trustee to approve new hires and the expenses associated with applying for the H1B. it's possible that you misheard and that you've cleared a check on your credit associated with their offer of employment... We can only guess.

If they applied for premium processing, you would normally get a decision within 15 calendar days. The issue of your starting before you're formally approved will likely be moot as of Monday or Tuesday.
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my questions. I think regarding the credit check stage, the HR manager told me that in case of a chapter 11 company, the USCIS goes through the stage of checking whether the bankrupt company is hiring an employee from one of their creditors to whom the company owed money.

Anyway, who the heck knows.....all I know is that in good faith I am trusting this guy's word and am hoping that if they applied for my VISA under PP around 25th of Feb then sometime very soon I should be getting the approval.

Thanks so much once again.
