My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: WA
I received 2 citations, one for DWLS (46.20.342.1C) and No drivers license on person (46.20.017). As it is, my license was suspended for an unpaid traffic ticket. I presume that notification of such was sent to me at some point, however, I failed to receive it, if that is the case.
At the mandatory court appearance for DWLS, I entered a plea of not guilty and was scheduled for a contested hearing. Also, during that session, many others were appearing for the same charge and those who had already had their license reinstated by DOL were offered a plea bargain to lesser charge and reduced fine (cant remember what it was?). All but one accepted.
I am going to take care of the fines/fees and have my license reinstated this week and my question is will it be possible at this point, or even likely, that I would be offered a similar arrangement at the hearing? I'm trying to weigh the urgency vs. need of having to hire an attorney if the outcome is going to be the same. TIA for any feedback.
