My question involves bankruptcy in the state of CALIFORNIA.
I Have been working out of the USA for the past 8 years and come back to california a couple times a year for a month or two. I saved all my earnings to purchase a home free and clear. I have a vacation property which is upside down and I believe the creditors will eventually come after my home. As a CA resident I am afforded certain protections to keep my home by filing chapter 13. I was told by someone that I must have resided in CA for the past 90 days without interruption and remain there through the payoff. Is this true?
