Default Why Are the Animal Threads Closed After Just a Few Replies

My question involves animal law for the State of: Florida. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to have lots of replies to each question? Please explain why the great majority of threads are closed. Thanks

I saw no locked threads in the first couple of pages of the "animal law" forum.

The threads weren't locked/closed. Many may have just 1 or 2 replies but that probably was all that was needed to answer the question.

New members aren't able to post to older threads for two reasons: First, because it's not helpful to have people come along and "wake up " old threads or inappropriately post their questions in somebody else's thread. Second, because spammers love to post in old threads, and nobody needs that.

There are only 5 threads that are open to the new members. All of the threads look very interesting to me. It annoys me that the majority of threads are all closed. Does anyone know of another animal law forum where they don't lock up all the threads? Thanks
