    Smile Transferring of Song Copyright

To start off, I'm from Hawaii.

I'm a student and I would like to sell my copyrighted songs. Let's say someone want to buy my song for a large sum ($50,000 ???) and I want to sell it.

    1. What can I do to transfer my copyright to the other end?
    2. Is there a quick way (online?) of doing it? Does the 2 ends need to physically meet up to do this?

You can do it by writing a contract assigning the rights in exchange for money. Music publishers usually have contracts much more involved than that. No you do not have to be in the same room to do this.

You can do this by either assigning the copyright to the buyer (after or at the same time as you register it with the copyright office)
or by selling them a license to the work.
If they are offering $50k, then you can afford to get an attorney's help.
