My question involves criminal law for the state of: WA
I returned to the state where I had a warrant for class C felony. Went into court and my attorney was able to negotiate my sentence down to 60 days of electric home monitoring / house arrest.
I am curious, does the same "time off" rate apply to EHM as it would if I were in jail. If I were in jail here I'd do 2/3 of the sentence so I'd be out in 40 days. Just wondering if anyone knows if the the same rule applies to house arrest of if I'd have to do the whole 60 days. I mean I'm not complaining if I do have to do the whole 60 days (beats the hell outta jail / prison I could've got), just curious.
Note I haven't yet started the EHM, it'll be set up in a couple weeks. Only been on EHM once before for 5 days, didn't really get any time off the sentence then, however if you want to be technical about it, I did end up with about closer to 3 1/2 days.....they came at 4:15 in the afternoon on the day I was going to be hooked up (day 1) and on day 5, unhooked me at 9:10 AM, so on day 1 and 5 I didn't even have a whole day to do. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th days were the only days I was on it for the entire day.
