    You can look up the statute you're charged with violating here; if it's a local ordinance, you can do a web search to try to find the ordinances online.

    Assuming it's this one:
    Quote Quoting IC 7.1-5-1-3. Public intoxication prohibited
    It is a Class B misdemeanor for a person to be in a public place or a place of public resort in a state of intoxication caused by the person's use of alcohol or a controlled substance (as defined in IC 35-48-1-9).
    A Class "B" misdemeanor conviction carries a penalty of imprisonment for a fixed term of up to one hundred eighty (180) days and a fine up to $1000.00.
