You might. It all depends on the situation.
Is it even your prescription?
Yeah, I broke my collar bone.
No you will not. As long as the meds are prescribed to you from a legal doctor, and you tell your probation office of said medication.
They will more than likely ask for proof, in which you show them.
-Just read your other post.
I would talk to a lawyer honestly. I do not understand how you cannot take opiate pain killers for a broken bone.
I'm personally on probation for a case involving opiates, and I'm still allowed take pain killers for any necessary situation as prescribed by a doctor.
because of the possibility of over use or the fact that the test results are the same for other illegal opiods. If the PO believes there is a concern of misuse or attempting to hid other opiate use with the painkillers, they can deny permission to use them. At best, the guy has to explain to a judge why he got violated. A judge might agree with the OP and say all is well. Then again, if the PO can articulate justification for the denial of permission, judge might agree with the PO.
It would be a crapshoot so if there is a way to avoid the situation, OP would be wise to do so. If he doesn't, there appears there will be a good chance OP will get to visit a judge.
