My question involves criminal law for the state of: NY & OH
When I was in NY I was hanging around with the tough crowd and shoplifted for quite a while, I got caught once in Walmart at age 18 and received an ACD because I had no criminal record. Then I got caught again when I turned 19 and even then, I had ACD again.
To my understanding IF you don't get in trouble for the 6 months your record is sealed and dismissed, which during my first ACD I did get arrested again. How do I know if the first one or the second one has been sealed? I keep wondering if in a job application I need to write down that I have had 2 ACD's if they're possibly not there. Then I would have said something I wouldn't have had to say. But then I'm afraid if I don't put it, it COULD be there and they will think I lied.
I'm currently 20 in Ohio now trying to apply for jobs to start a new life.
EDIT//
Both were petty larceny misdemeanors.
