Default Over a month with no court date set

I was caught shoplifting 5/24/06...I still have not received a court date. To answer potential questions, yes the police were involved, I signed the papers at the store, and I was told to watch the mail.

So it has been over a month...what do I do now? I'm going through a lot of stress because of life events in general, and I just want to get this over with. I called the store and left them my new address (I'm in a different state now),

I just want them to hurry up and charge with whatever they want. I have a presentation at an important conference at the end of July. I'm just tired and right now, I wouldn't mind if they decided to just stick me in jail...I'm just so frustrated with the anxiety.

Default Re: Over a month...no court date

I'm caught walking out the door by an LP at COSTCO in California in Dec.2005
I'm lead out by a police officer in handcuffs and was put through the motions (arrest, jail, release).
I spend 3 days in jail (charges PC 484/666, 1203.2)
It’s June 2006 ( 6 month with no charges ) and I still haven't received anything from COSTCO
    or CA.Court.
I have called the court house many time and there are no charges filed.
    It's hard to guess !
