We reside in PA and are in the process of an adoption and just applied for our Orphan Visa Petition. We already completed our Homestudy at which time the agency completed background checks per state requirements.
I am not a US Citizen thus had two years ago renewed my green card with the Dept. of Homeland Security which fingerprinted me for a background check and all was well and I received my new green card. We also had to do a fingerprint and background check for this Orphan Visa application.
Today I received a letter asking for detailed information, certified court records on what only said:
"Charge 1 - Failure to appear, Fayetteville on 11/03/1993"
thats it it said nothing else. I am assuming this was short for Failure to Appears in Court?
I did reside in Fayetteville AR for about maybe 7 months during that time, however, I know I had no accidents, no problems with the law, no tickets for traffic violations or received any type of notification in the mail of having to appears in court.
I don't know what this is suppose to be. This is 13 years ago the Dept. of Homeland states to address questions with the Adoption Agency but of course how would they know what this could be.
Thus my questions is how do I find out what this means or is?
Thank you for any feedback in advance.
