    Default Burglary in 3rd Degree

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Kentucky.

Hi, I am curious as to what sort of punishment is involved in burglary in the 3rd degree? My ex, who is my child's father, was recently arrested and was released on bond, but goes back to court on Monday. From what I've read it appears to be a 1-5 year sentence? Is that true? I'm sick with worry, not that I could care less what happens to him, but as I stated before, he is the father of our 4 year old daughter and I can't bare the thought of him being in jail for over a year. Anyone with experience with this conviction I would love to hear something a little more uplifting than jail time? Is probation something they would offer, or should I just be preparing for the worst?

Up to 5 years in jail and/or $10,000. Sentencing depends on a number of factors. Felons are not generally uplifted by any aspect of the process.
