    Default Unpaid Wages

    My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Neveda ,I am employer in las vegas , i had paid my employe in cash and they paid tax on their w-2 2009 ,Business was sold for no cash , new owner has to pay remaining of bills , Now employee is sue me for unpaid wage , which i don't have cash paid recept , i don't have any money to pay, we have labour board hering next month , what going to happen ,

    We don't know.

    Not keeping receipts for wages paid in cash is not going to bode well for you. Very poor bookkeeping practice. Also, very poor payroll practice to pay wages in cash. This may be an expensive lesson learned.
