My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: Washington
I was unable to complete my conditions of probation due to financial issues (I had to sign up for a drug and alcohol treatment program) and my probation officer never returned my calls and when I was able to go in for my appointment she wasn't even there.
I live in Everett (Snohomish county) and my crime was committed in Seattle (King County). I lost my papers telling me how to complete my community service. The fill in for my probation officer failed to give me the information I needed for community service even though I had asked him multiple times during our appointment. (However he did find me a discount it was in Seattle, and I really don't have any transportation to get there)
So I'm assuming since my mother never gave me my mail that I probably got a notice of a bench warrant back in august for not appearing to a court date for not completing my probation.
I was not ignoring this, I did not have any transportation to the court house (I'm broke due to no job because of this) and I had school full time. I now live with my Fiance who is offering to pay for whatever I need to do. I'm still going to school, so I'm hoping maybe they'll give me another chance at probation.
I'm also turning myself in, and I've also not been in trouble or got into trouble at all for the entire time.
My questions are:
The warrant has probably been in place for about six months, is it an outstanding warrant?
Do I have any chance of getting a second chance at probation for a shorter time limit?
Will the judge consider the fact that I'm in school, and the reasons I was not able to fulfill them the first time?
