    Post Suing a Police Officer for Injuries

    Yes I would like to know what the statue of limitations would be on personal injury occurance that happened approximately a month ago on a police officer. I live in Indiana please contact me.

    Where you injured the officer, or where the officer injured you? How did the injury occur?

    Where the officer injured me. I would like to know how long I have until I can go after him legally (civily).

    You shouldn't have to wait at all. The limitations period - the period after which you can't make a claim - will probably be two years, although for some claims it could be shorter. Consult a lawyer so you can clarify your rights.
