My question involves criminal law for the state of: Indiana
I was sentenced for Wire Fraud got 30 months and 36 months on Probation.
I have been on Probation for a year, and just got my first violation(s)
He gave me 6 violations, and they were all from lying.
Not telling him I moved, And lying about working at 2 places.
He actually could have put a lot of these violations in one but he didn't. So I have to go to court to see a magistrate judge first I guess to get a public defender and get the hearing date. He didn't put a arrest warrant out for me, just sent me a summons in the mail.
My Question is: What will happen at that first court date (magistrate judge) besides getting a lawyer, Could i possibly go into custody then? And on the actual hearing date im I looking at prison time? Or could i get my po term extended? I never violated before now, And I never dropped dirty , never missed an appointment.
thanks for any answers
