My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: North Carolina
Was not sure which forum this fit into so I will give it a shot here:
I live in a private development with a private road system. We have two home owners associations as the development was built in phases. I must pass thru one home owners associations roads to get to my development (we have right-of-way). We have shared costs to maintain their road since we use it. Recently their association decided they would not plow snow even though we pay half of the costs. I must get to work, get kids to school, etc. and I worry about ambulances/fire vehicles reaching my house now that they have decided to not keep the road clear. Most of the people in their association are retired and feel they can just wait until it thaws. If anything happens (home burns down, get hurt, etc.) and emergency vehicles can not respond do to road conditions do we have legal recourse against them?
