    Default Is judicial independence being practiced in Australia?

    Has independence of judiciary being fully practiced in Australia?

    Judicial independence is not fully practiced in Australia! Sometimes, the judges tend to be bias. It is not fair. This is because there are some cases where the politicians influence the judges.

    By right, judicial independence is not being FULLY practised in Aust. This is because there is certain "legal influences" taking place. This means that judges still can be infulenced by experienced lawyers.

    No because Judges are influenced by the people. Judges tend to be unfair while judging cases. Politician will give them pressure and judicial independence will be violated.

    Well another reason it is not practised fully is because Judicial Independance is a Convention, adopted from the British Westminster System. Since its unwritten, judges sometimes may step over the line.
