My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Maryland
Another problem I've been having (see other thread about 18-month issue) with the state of Maryland.
3 times now, they have sent me letters, with a 'response' required, and no time to complete said response.
First was a letter informing me of a call they were scheduling with me. I received it on a Saturday evening. The call was scheduled for Tuesday morning. I was to be on an airplane during that time to go TO AN INTERVIEW, and therefore couldn't take the call. The only way to reschedule officially was to send a letter that had to be received by MONDAY. Not possible without extremely expensive same-day fedex. I tried calling the phone line 4 times during the day to discuss this. After being on hold for 30 minutes each time, it hung up on me.
Second time, I received a letter at 2pm on a day, informing me of a scheduled call at 9am that morning. A bit late.
Third time just happened. Where I got a letter in the mail today (1/13), stating that I needed to fill out additional forms, and mail them to Delaware of all places (why Delaware?). And that they had to be received in Delaware by, get this, 1/13, or else my benefits would again be denied.
This is crazy.
