Default What is Enough to Be Emancipated

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: TEXAS

I live with my father but he works out of town alot so that leaves us at home with my step mother and we dont get along at all. We always get in fights. Her temper is hard to deal with alot. My mothers house is not a very good place to live either or i would there with her. My father would not be happy about me moving out. Im 16 and will be 17 in august. Could i get emancipated?

    If i had a job?

Could i live with my aunt?

    And stayed in school?

Please read the multiple threads on the topic.

You cannot be emancipated unless you can show the court that you are/will be completely self-supporting. That means being able to pay your own rent, utilities, gas, insurance, food, clothing....everything. And keep good grades in school.

Emancipation is for two types of teen - the Miley Cyruses of the world, and those teens who through no fault of their own (both parents killed in a car accident for example) need the legal ability to sign a lease, get the utilities in their own name, etc.,

It is not for teens who don't like living with their parent.
