Unhappy Can a Theft Charge Be Expunged

My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of Texas:
    Two Part Question:
I plead guilty in a Texas county Court of Issuance of a Bad Check in 2005, paid a fine of $101. Can this be expunged form my record or can I be pardoned for this offense and have the record sealed? I've worked for several large banking institutions and was dismissed because of this old charge.

Default Re: Can a Theft Charge Be Expunged

As is explained in several hundred threads on the subject, you can get an expungement following the successful completion of a deferred sentence for a Class C misdemeanor. For other deferrals you can petition to have your record sealed after the statutory waiting period. Absent a deferral, to get an expungement you must first obtain a pardon.
