I work for a Co in California-and have a valued and very dependable employee who was recently hurt in a motorcycle accident. Right now, he is listed in critical condition at RCH & is in ICU. On friday, we were told that he will never walk again-he is only 32.
While his visa expired in 04, I have been activly working with the employee to abtain his permenat visa, but his fears make him very reluctant*sigh*his wife is also now illegal because her visa has expired and she hessitates out of fear of being deported and her kids taken away- Their kids were born in the US while they were on a valid visa.
Now, since the accident, I have been trying to get his mother a visa to visit her son and I am having absolutly no luck. The social worker at the hospital has been no help and acts as if she doesn't want to get involved. I have gone on line looking for the proper forms-but time is so important!
Is there anything I can do, is there any where I can get some sort of extended medical visa for his mother to be with her injured son and to be there for his recover?
Please offer me a ray of hope in an otherwise bleek future.
Thanks!
