    Default Demand for Deposition

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Florida
In March of 09 I was sued by Capitol One for collection of debt. Amount of suit was $2300, not what I owed. Judge ruled that I had to pay $500, case closed. I offered the lawyer the $500 and he refused, said I would get a letter of where to send the money. I got a letter demanding $2300. I took the letter to the court house and they couldn't believe it and said I only owed $500. Now, Jan. 8, I get served papers from the same lawyer demanding a deposition, and claiming that I owe them $2300. Is this legal? What are my options?

Contact the court, inform them that the creditor is continuing to refuse payment, and ask if you can pay off the judgment through the court.
