My question involves workers compensation law for the state of:Washington. I was injured at work in October 2009. I had my first MRI in January 2010 which revealed a herniated disc between L5-S1. The prescribed treatment was an ESI (epidural steroid injection); which didn't work. The next treatment was a discectomy; which didn't work, the disc re-herniated. I had a second ESI in September 2010; which didn't work again. I suffer from sciatica in my left leg which feels like somebody is jabbing a knife in my hamstring 90% of the time; my gluteus maximus and calf are not free of pain either. I have been unable to pursue a job making the same hourly wage I was in Washington; due to the fact I am physically incapable of pursuing such a job or even passing a physical fitness test. My doctor has requested fusion surgery twice, and as of today the surgery was denied twice. As of today, I have contacted a lawyer to handle the case. What can I expect from here on out?
