Default Green Card Holder Under 21 with Medicaid

I applied for Medicaid for my son last year (2010) and we got Medicaid for him. Can we have problems with our application for cityzenship ? We are green card holders ( DW Lottery) within 5 years of residency. What can I do now to fix the situation. I made a mistake because I thought that we cannot get food stamps or cash.I didn't think that is the same situation with Medical Assistance. Is this fact a reason for USCIS to denial our applications for cityzenship ? Thanks.

If you obtained public assistance, your sponsor may be on the hook for repaying the cost.

What makes you think that permanent residents cannot obtain Medicaid?

Medicaid rules vary by state. Did you report the person's status correctly when you applied? Also, 18 is the age at which once ceases to be a child for most programs. Why is 21 the age of interest?

The USCIS website has a complete list of rules for what is considered acceptable and unacceptable public assistance.
