Default Prosecutors Assigned to King County, Washington Traffic Court

Not good news. They are going to begin putting the prosecutor at the courts. It may be harder to get a dismissal now.

It is, for a large part, a budget-related decision. The county could recoup $552,000 in ticket fines lost to dismissals, according to figures from the county budget office.

The budgeted cost of the prosecutor? $82,000.
There must be a lot of dismissals.
